Investors
Aquaforce has been granted R&D status by the Australian Federal Government. The company receives a 43% cash back from the ATO for every dollar expended in our development program. This effectively translates into a 43% cushion for investors in the company, supplying a significant level of insulation against the risks associated with investment in new technology. We also have thousands of hours committed to our R&D program by some of Australia's universities because these hubs of innovation recognise the significance of the work we are doing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. While the wing shapes we are currently refining are open source these shapes are also universally recognised and proven. By utilising existing proven wing shapes Aquaforce has taken advantage of the gains already made in the field of wingsails. The software we are developing is proprietary.
Our wing program breaks into two components.
The first is to focus on the development of proprietary software and the structural design of carbon fibre components. This work is currently being undertaken. The second is identifying and developing markets in industries that will benefit from our technology. We will achieve this through working with stakeholders in joint ventures, advisory capacities and developing new products where none currently exist. Aquaforce recognises the need for flexibility while maintaining the discipline required for the company to remain focused on its core business; developing wing systems for the maritime industry.
We take an innovative approach to developing markets that are currently in their infancy or don’t yet exist. Wing sails are the beginning of a seafaring revolution and Aquaforce is on course to exploit this emerging market. We are currently not seeking investors. When we reach the investment stage of our growth our search will be for people and institutions with financial and rapid growth skills that can help us navigate the pitfalls of commercialising a business in a field that is relatively untapped. The triple bottom line Profit As a new industry there are no significant barriers to entry. New product with little or no competition means high margins and the ability to charge large deposits and COD rather than 30 days net. This means zero cash flow issues with rapid growth. Planet It is estimated that the world fishing industry generates in excess of 180 Million tonnes of greenhouse gas every year, with this number growing. With the uptake of wingsails by the commercial fishing industry reduction in Greenhouse gas emissions by between 20% and 30%. The shipping industry is one of the main contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has set strict guidelines for the reduction of shipping emissions and major shipping companies around the world are investing in wing technology. This market can only expand and represents significant opportunities for Aquaforce in the future.
People Wingsails will supply a safer seagoing working environment by improving stability and reducing vessel roll. Seafarers will be the significant winners through this innovation.
